IV. DYNO TEST - VEHICLE 1
Test vehicle #1 is a modified 2002 GT owned by Dave Bennett.. His modifications before testing were the following...
C&L 85mm Mass Airflow System with C&L inlet pipe
Under-drive pullies
Timing adjuster set to 12 degrees
Off-road X-pipe with Mil Eliminators
Magnaflow 2 1/2" cat-back exhaust
Baseline dyno testing showed a peak power output of 263.5 HP and 301.38 Ft/Lb of torque. After installing the new C&L Inlet Plenum and 75mm BBK throttle body, peak power jumped up to 277.5 HP and 318 Ft/Lb of torque, for gains of 14 HP and 17 ft/lb of torque. Larger power improvements were found in other points in the curve, so we broke down the Horsepower and Torque charts separately to be viewed in the following dyno charts.

Backup pulls were made to ensure that the results were correct, and then a 70mm throttle body was installed. Two more pulls confirmed that the vehicle indeed lost a minimum average of 3 rear wheel horsepower pretty much across the board with the smaller 70mm throttle body. In some points in the curve, the losses were even bigger, but based upon the results found on both of these test vehicles, it is safe to say that with our new plenum the 70mm throttle body delivers 3 HP less than the 75mm unit on average.
